NFL Week 6 Review

Well what a week, Week Six turned out to be. Continuous storylines of drama with the drawn out downfall of the Jackson-less Ravens! Multiple engrossing last second field goals to win tight games kept many a NFL fan nervous on the couch. This week we will review the shocking win for the Giants, the return to form of the Chiefs and the podcast lads will be delight with another Baker love-in!

Rookie Powered Giants Stun Eagles
The New York Giants’ rookies, Dart and Skattebo, were the difference makers on Thursday Night Football against an increasingly shaky Philadelphia Eagles. With a Nor’easter hitting much of the east coast of the USA at the weekend, it was preceded by this result that sent shockwaves through the NFL. Dart was simply electrifying, with passing yards of 195 and 58 yards rushing on the ground, adding two touchdowns. Fourth-round pick Skattebo was in fine form: averaging 5.2 yards per carry against this hapless Eagles D: helping himself to three touchdowns. What next for Siriani, Hurts et al? They are currently 30th (!!!) in the NFL for total offense! That’s a lot of film room work required!

Chiefs Are Back(?)
Don’t say this too loudly, but it looks like the Kansas City Chiefs  may be remerging from their opening malaise. Mahomes enjoyed toying with the Lions D, helping himself to 289 total yards and four touchdowns. The Chiefs have now scored 28 points in four straight games for the first time in three years!! It looks like the much maligned former champs may be awakening as we enter a third of the way through the season. Twist will be fully assured of his “Lions are over-rated” stance following this performance. They looked planned and were outplayed through all phases.

Mayfield Delivers A Clinic Baker, as the lads are now fondly referring to the Bucs QB, is surely in contention for MVP at this stage … Given his imperious Week Six display was WITHOUT Mike Evans AND Chris Godwin, there will be surely “MVP! MVP!” chants in the stands in Florida if he continues this rich vein of form. Mayfield completed 17 of 23 passes for two TD passes and 256 yards. It wasn’t just the Baker Show, he got plenty of help from a rampaging defense that sacked Mac Jones six times.
