The National Football League today announced a new partnership with Virgin Media Television in Ireland that will see the broadcaster show the 2025 NFL Dublin game on free-to-air, as well as all 2025 European international games, three playoff games and Super Bowl LX – the first ever official Irish broadcast partner for the league.

Virgin Media Television will bring fans comprehensive live coverage of the hugely anticipated game between the Minnesota Vikings and Pittsburgh Steelers at Croke Park on Sunday Sept. 28, with a live sideline gameday production.

The broadcaster will also show all three London games as well as the Berlin and Madrid matchups, plus three playoff games and Super Bowl LX.

“The 2025 NFL Dublin game marks an exciting milestone for the sport in Ireland as we look to grow fandom in the market, said, Director International Business Development and Media at the NFL Laura Louisy. “Virgin Media Television are a great partner to not only broadcast this historic game free-to-air, but more broadly bring fans close to the sport across the 2025 NFL season of international game moments, playoffs and Super Bowl LX.”

“We are delighted to be partnering with the NFL to broadcast 10 exciting games this season, including the historic Vikings V Steelers match at Croke Park and Super Bowl LX,” said Director of News and Sports, Virgin Media Television, Mick McCaffrey. “The sport has never been as popular in Ireland, and we are looking forward to bringing our viewers free-to-air coverage with our own analysis and take on the best of the live action”.

The NFL U.K. & Ireland YouTube channel will host a weekly highlight show, The Weekly Blitz, bringing fans 20 minutes of the biggest moments from the weekend’s action every Tuesday.

This is the first time an NFL game will be broadcast free to air by a domestic Irish TV provider, and marks a significant milestone in the growth of American football on the Emerald Isle.

Pittsburgh and Minnesota are set to clash in Croke Park  at 2.30pm Irish time on Sunday, September 28th, with tickets for the much anticipated match up almost completely sold out.
