NFL Week Twelve Review: Saquon Soars in City of Angels
Every weekend we are amazed and entertained by the spirited and tenacious individual collective performances in nigh on every fixture! There is always a moment that defies logic or a performance throughout the game that embodies composure. This week was no difference! The Chiefs win: despite not playing well … AGAIN! The Packers further dampen 49ers hopes. Will Saquon Barkely become the first Running Back to earn NFL MVP since the great Adrian Peterson?
Chiefs Win Ugly
It took a final second Spencer Shrader thirty-one yard Field Goal for the Chiefs to beat a resilient and feisty Panthers. The five sacks registered on Patrick Mahomes will leave many Chiefs fans concerned. His play to set up the winning Field Goal embodies everything we love about this game: risk and the initiative to take it in the first place! This Chiefs last thirteen wins have all been by one score: will the shallow options at O-Line cost them in a future fixture? Who knows, but it is a joy to watch Mahomes create winning positions for his team!

Packers Further 49ers Sinking Season
The 49ers season has seriously faltered. 49ers fans’ hopes were quashed pre-game when a splinted Brandon Allen warmed up in place of the injured Brock Purdy. The Packers did not fail to take advantage! Allen gave a respectable performance, his first since joining the 49ers, with seventeen completions including one touchdown pass. It was not enough to stop the Packers running riot. It is the 49ers worst result against Green Bay in the 74 year old rivalry. Josh Jacob and Jordan Love enjoyed themselves immensely: Jacob scoring three TDs during his twenty-six carries. Pre-season predictions for the 49ers suggested records of 11-6 and 12-5: with this supposed expected win providing them their eighth win in a predicted 8-3 record. As we have come to expect in the NFL, reality couldn’t be farther from the heady days of summer predictions …

Barkley Makes MVP Charge
This was a game for the record books! Saquon Barkley had quite the day: 302 Yards in total. JUST 255 yards on twenty carries and two TDS: one of which was a seventy yard run at the start of the second half! The Eagles’ Running Back has moved from 60 to 1, to now 6 to 1 in the betting odds to be the MVP for this season: the first possible RB MVP since the days of the electrifying Adrian Peterson. As per most MVP seasons, it all depends on the performance over an entire season: consistency and execution! It is good to see Barkley will get the opportunity to further his case against fellow MVP candidate Lamar Jackson and the Ravens during Week Thirteen! Oh boy!
Eagles 37 Rams 20

ANOTHER exciting week with even more edge of the seat week moments concludes with a mouth watering battle between the Chargers (7-3) and the Ravens (7-4) today on MNF! There is no doubt the drama and storylines will continue to unfold and engross us even more as we look forward to Week Thirteen! Week Thirteen kicks off with the Thursday Thanksgiving fixtures: the first game of the day gives us the opportunity to see the in-form Lions play the Bears at the rare start time of 17:30 here in Ireland: something WE can be thankful for on this side of the pond!
