NFL London & Munich Games Announced For 2024

It’s a big day in the world of the NFL, as the 2024 schedule is slated to be released at 8pm Eastern time in America ( or 1 am here at home). Fans across the pond got a bit of an early treat however, with the announcement of this year’s  NFL’s International Series games. 4 fixtures are due to take place on this side of the Atlantic in October and November; 3 in London and 1 in Germany.  Getting things underway in Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on October 6th will be the Minnesota Vikings and the New York Jets. The Vikings are no strangers to London, having defeated the Steelers there in 2013, and the Browns in 2017.  Following on from the opening fixture, the Jacksonville Jaguars will take on the Chicago Bears on October 13th at 2.30pm, while rounding things out will be the New England Patriots’ clash with the Jaguars in Wembley on October 20th.

Meanwhile in Munich, the Carolina Panthers will host the New York Giants at the Allianz Arena on November 10th. This will be the 4th outing to Europe for Big Blue, but their first in Germany.  After enjoying two matchups in  2023, fans in Germany might be feeling a little hard done by only getting one joust this time around.

“We are delighted to announce these exciting matchups across London and Munich, in addition to the historic first game in São Paulo, Brazil, to complete the 2024 International Games slate,” said NFL Executive Vice President, Club Business, Major Events & International Peter O’Reilly. “As the league and its 32 teams continue to prioritize international growth, we look forward to building on the incredible fan experiences seen in Europe while taking the game to new fans in South America.”

Da Bears will also have their fourth tour to London, having last played there in a loss to the Raiders back in 2019.  Their hopes of victory this time around will be riding on the shoulders of young Caleb Williams, and fans of the Chicago franchise will have the opportunity to watch the much coveted Quarterback live in action. For the Jacksonville Jaguars, it’s consecutive back to back weeks in their second home. Duval also played two games in a row last year, defeating the Falcons on a scoreline of  23-7, and beating the Bills 25-0.

The NFL is going all in on growing its presence internationally, with some really exciting games on the cards in 2024. For fans in Ireland, momentum continues to increase ahead of a much anticipated NFL game in Dublin in the near future.  Stay tuned to Gaelic Gridiron for all your American football content!
