Where to watch the Super Bowl in Ireland
Gaelic Gridiron’s 2023 Superbowl Party Guide
In just under two weeks time, the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs will duke it out in Arizona to lay claim on the Vince Lombardi trophy. It’s Super Bowl Sunday, and if you haven’t made any plans to watch yet then fear not! Pretty much every pub in Ireland has jumped on the Super Bowl bandwagon in recent years, with many even staying open late specifically for the big game. Most Irish American football teams will have their own Super Bowl watch party in various pubs across the country, and we’ve put together a handy list of these for you! Keep reading to discover the location of your nearest Super Bowl party.
UCD American Football – The Harcourt Bar/ DTwo
If you’re on the south side of Dublin, this is an ideal location for watching the 2023 Superbowl. What’s more, you’ll be in the company of reigning Shamrock Bowl champions, UCD! Tickets are priced at €10 and can be found on Eventbrite. We’ve all had a sketchy night ( or 4) in DTwo, don’t let that put you off! The UCD lads are super sound, and you really can’t beat the convenience of the location!

Dublin Rebels – The Odeon
Just up the road from DTwo on Harcourt St you’ll find The Odeon, watering hole of the Dublin Rebels and home to their annual Superbowl party. Tickets are similarly priced at a tenner, and you’ll have the pleasure of drinking and watching football in a decidedly more up market venue. If the Rebels know one thing, it’s how to throw a Super Bowl party, and if you’re south of the Liffey you’ll have your pick of places to watch!

Dublin Rhinos – The Woolshed
The Rhinos have yet to announce an official Super Bowl party, but can usually be found in the Woolshed watching American football of a Sunday. The Shed will be doing hotdogs and drink deals on the night, and there’s usually a cheerleader or two wandering around! If you’ve never been here for a big game then be warned – it gets jammed. Either book a table or get in well in advance to secure your spot. The Shed is one of Dublin’s most popular sports bars and there’s always a good buzz here for the Super Bowl!

Belfast Trojans – The Botanic Inn
Based up north and in need of a spot for watching the Super Bowl, look no further than the Botanic Inn! Boasting “Belfast’s Best Superbowl Party” it has over 45 screens, and will be doing drink deals, wings and American football themed games on the night. They’ll even be staying open late so you don’t have to worry about missing a single play! This is another ticketed event, so get in touch with the Belfast Trojans if you want to join in the fun.

NI Razorbacks – Franklin’s Sports Bar
Remember when there was just one American football team in Belfast? Yeh us too. Now there’s at least three. Anyway, the Razorbacks are hosting a Super Bowl party in Franklins, and if their social media is to be believed it looks like it will be some craic. They have the usual wings, drink deals and what not with a bit of beer pong thrown in for good measure! And Northern Ireland’s biggest indoor screen to boot. So, there’s two good options for you for watching the Super Bowl in Belfast!

Causeway Giants – Inn On the Coast, Portrush
Another one for the Nordies! The Causeway Giants will be hosting a viewing party on the 12th of February at the Inn on the Coast in Portrush with the big game kicking off at 11:30pm. It’s £5 entry and food is included and we will be doing a raffle and sweepstakes for the first touchdown scorer. They even have rooms available for if you go too hard on the pints and can’t face the taxi home!

These are just some of the best places to watch the Super Bowl in Ireland, and I’m sure I missed a few! If you know of any other places to watch the big game then let us know in the comments!
